Adorable spoon found for 50 cents. I've tried to stop buying spoons like I promised myself months ago, but I cannot do it. Honest, I've really, really tried. I'm going to have to find a fourth spoon holder rack. Woe is me.
From thimbles to egg cups, crystal to glass, yarn to fabric... and even freebies! I love collecting!

Let's booze it up for free!
Yes, people also dispose of full bottles of alcohol. Are people insane? Imagine my surprise when I found 9 small bottles of beer and 4 (or was it 5? my memory fails me...) bottles of white sparkling wine. Of course I went halves with my darling niece Rebecca because sharing is caring (remember that, children). Darling husband tasted one of the beers and wasn't too impressed, but the wine was just fabulous!

Myott Meakin Plate
I'm sure the year on the plate says 1982 and not 1962 (on the back of the plate) as I first thought - because my eyesight is rapidly deteriorating and it doesn't help that it wasn't printed all that well in the first place.
Anyway..... bought for $5, but worth much more because it's a collectible. Condition : Perfecto!

Free * slightly * damaged oil painting
Yes, people throw out oil paintings. Yes, it's a tad damaged here and there - but I still wouldn't throw out a nice oil painting! Not the best art piece I've ever seen, but it's still something nice to look at.
And hey I'll face the truth - I certainly couldn't have done half as good a job as this.
It's actually sitting on a metal book stand, which I found at the op shop for $5.
And hey I'll face the truth - I certainly couldn't have done half as good a job as this.
If anything the damage gives it some shabby chic, some character... if you will.

little red dress VS little black & white dress
Several months ago my niece Rebecca took me to an op shop, but as for the name of the store - it doesn't come to mind right now. It sold mostly clothing, some shoes and very few knick-knacks & paddy-whacks.
The fantastic thing about this particular op shop is that they sold everything for $1!!! I could have bought a heap of clothes but honestly, I don't need extra clothing because my wardrobe IS actually busting at the seams. But like any other girly... I would have loved to. My limit stopped at 2 summer dresses.
Both without any signs of wear, clean, and most importantly - they fit just right. Yay for $1 dresses!

Free Kitchen Stuff
Coffee plunger. It sits on my kitchen, but I don't use it.
Glass jar. I put wrapped chocolate pieces in it.
Cute holographic(?) place mats. Good to put under the cats food & water bowl.
Stubby holders..... some were still sealed in their wrapper!
Wooden plate stands. I found 4 of them, so I gave 2 to my niece Rebecca.
Ok, I didn't actually find these. My dear mother passed them onto me a couple of months back.
They are from the 1970's and I love them. If you click on the first photo and look at the third glass, you'll see they came from Target. I didn't realise Target was around back then!
