Sunday

I love finding stuff that I wouldn't normally buy for myself, and here they are.

 Probably some kind of Vegemite promo at some stage and surely once had vegemite in it;

Thinking of jazzing up my iphone;

Littlest Pet Shop care for me cat and it works just fine!  Today I found one slightly different on ebay going for around $25AU including postage, and one similar at Amazon for $30.

Beer, anyone?

Friday

As a lot of us do, on occasions I receive little samples of skincare, shampoo & condition etc. in the mail.

But never have I received this many in one go.   Looks like 5, but there's actually 15!

 Thanks, Nivea!

Thursday

Today we'll start with a little free art deco....

3 glass light shades and let me tell you, they are heavy. They had some kind of ink on them but I cleaned them right up with a teeny bit of bleach;

Then we'll finish with some free casual clothing;

That says 'moderation is for sissies'.

This has become my favourite bed time top;

I wanna be a rock star!

I found about 5 pairs of jeans but I won't bore you with showing all of them;

What you must understand is that at my ripe age, I don't normally dress like this, yet here I am looking like I'm some kind of rocker (wannabe).  I do pull it off ok though and I hide my muffin top very well, don't I?

Tuesday

* Warning - warning - warning *
Ho-hum post ahead; miscellaneous boring freebies found;

This Milano brand bag is in fantabulous condition and is hardly used.  I've lots to store in it and believe me it's much bigger than what it looks in the photos.

Extra boring.... *yawn*.  The ugly is also very useful.  All my terracotta pots have terracotta saucers now.

Extra EXTRA boring but I promise it's the last for today.  This is only a very small portion of what I've found in the past few years.

Large rug.... in beautiful condition.

Coloured buttons!  Who doesn't need buttons?  Oh please, we all need buttons at some stage.

Love-er-ly brass frame with a love-er-lier lady inside for only $4;

And a nice little vintage crochet / knitting booklet for 50 cents;

Sunday

Today's a good day to show you my BEST FREEBIE FOUND... EVER!!!  Or at least for this year.
I was 'free picking' with my mother about a month back, when suddenly I spotted a box which had a dinnerware picture on it and a very interesting brand name too.  A lot of the times there won't be whatever it states on the outside of the box - and logic tells us that there aren't a lot of crazy people out there disposing of certain things, good things, useful things, pretty things, possibly things that are worth a lot or at least a little.

I quickly peaked inside the box before throwing it in the car and I did see some kind of ceramic in there.  So instead of throwing it in the car, I placed it carefully and I was pleased that it had some weight to it also.  I was literally salivating and almost foaming at the mouth thinking about what could have been in that box while driving home.

I could not get into the house quick enough with that box.  I opened it up and I couldn't believe what I was seeing.  A whole dinner set consisting of 16 pieces and I could tell they hadn't been out of the box because of the way it was packed.  Either that or it was taken out once and replaced very carefully.  Absolutely no scratches or wear to be found on any of the pieces.  As perfect as they come and it felt like I had just purchased this lovely product from the store.

There it was.... all sitting prettily in front of me.  Beautiful Royal Doulton fine china with the Poetic Rose design; bowls, cups and saucers.  'Why on earth?' is all I could think of.  But boy was I glad I was in the right spot at the right time that day.  I don't know much about the 'Doulton Everyday' series but something tells me that this set is definitely pre-Gorden Ramsay.  I googled but didn't find much of what I now proudly own and that also tells me that there aren't a lot of them around.  Now that's what I call a good days free picking!
