Tuesday

Randomness of freebies...

Hama beads... also called Perler beads.  There is a third square board but I failed to take a photo of it. The beads weigh a whopping 400g!

It always amazes me that people actually throw out sewing supplies.  Must be men, right?

An adorable piece of plastic sheeting, with cute fish no less.

A whole wrapped soap!?!  I feel cleaner already.   People must be giving up on washing with soap for some reason.

An HD tuner.  Hubby tested it out and it works just fine.

Lastly for today, a book that I'm looking forward to browsing very soon... Bailliere's Nurses' Dictionary, Seventeenth Edition and dated 1968.

Is it just me, or was the medical world a little more frightening back then?

I won't ask....

Monday

I know these types of little perfume bottle have a specific name, but in all honesty I can't remember.  So I will dub thee 'cut glass perfume bottles'.

And at $12 for all three, I do love them!

Thursday

Free stuff ready to be revamped always excites me.   I love making things look nicer, newer, a little different etc., so these are going to be fun revamping jobs when I have a little spare time this weekend and more weekends after that....

Obviously somebody thought these teal light holders were trash worthy, but not me.  The difficult part is choosing a lovely new colour for them;

I found this table dismantled and squeeeee'd for joy when I saw it, because I had been wondering where to find one for a mosaic project;

 This lovely little cane table was going to be painted, but then I changed my mind.  I think it's more charming if I leave it as is.  There was a broken piece at the bottom when I pick it up, but I fixed it right up with some creativity, knowledge and nearby supplies and it's blended in so well, I bet you can't see it;

Wednesday

How lovely is this bowl and saucer set?  It set me back a whole $2.99;

 This sweet plate cost me a mere $2;

And how adorable is this teapot?  Also adorable was the price, at only $4;

And lastly for today is this egg cup.  The lower gold rim is fading away, but never mind... still a nice egg cup for $2;

Can't think of a title...

I'm at that critical point in time where I have no imagination anymore when it comes to subject titles for free stuff.  So I think the best and easiest thing for me to do is just name the day I'm posting, but I will start tomorrow.  It's not really that I lack imagination... it's just getting tiring for me.  But of course I never tire of freebies!

Free jigsaw puzzles.  So far I haven't come across a jigsaw with pieces missing, see below for an example - a nice unopened pack!

 Completed a few months ago....

Logically, I'm unsure if there are pieces missing from these next boxes but  I will certainly find out in good time;

Fake Vs Real

How do you tell a fake from real?  My niece thinks this is a fake... but I'm not convinced.

But in actual fact, I don't care either way because I adore this thing and I found it for $6 at the op shop.  It doesn't have a hint of wear, no pulled threads, no tears, no stains etc, etc...

So, how on earth can one tell if it's the real deal?  I guess only Yves Saint Laurent would know the truth...

Free stuff won't leave me alone.

Yes, more free stuff.  I want less, life gives me more.  Isn't that always the way?  LOL!

Little cane shelf;

I couldn't figure out what this ceramic dish was for and thought it could have been a food drainer of some sort, but then my niece's fiance guessed it was a food defroster.  Well whatever it is, it's neat;

 To this day, I can't read what this says;

Ceramic pot with lid, but the design does nothing for me.  It does have crazing and on the inside mostly, but what do you want for free... it gives it some character;

We found 11 of these nice cups.  Five went to me and six went to my niece as she was the one that first spotted them;

Glass cutting board... what next!

A kitsch frog cup, but it's cute;

This little wall cabinet had the towel holder missing, but I quickly fixed that right up with some thick dowel that I had stashed away;
