Tuesday

* Warning - warning - warning *
Ho-hum post ahead; miscellaneous boring freebies found;

This Milano brand bag is in fantabulous condition and is hardly used.  I've lots to store in it and believe me it's much bigger than what it looks in the photos.

Extra boring.... *yawn*.  The ugly is also very useful.  All my terracotta pots have terracotta saucers now.

Extra EXTRA boring but I promise it's the last for today.  This is only a very small portion of what I've found in the past few years.

Large rug.... in beautiful condition.

Coloured buttons!  Who doesn't need buttons?  Oh please, we all need buttons at some stage.

The boring and the fabulous.

BORING;  3 Free mats... I found a brand new length of carpet and cut them up accordingly;

FABULOUS;  Free pink hand bag (crease is slowly vanishing)... and had some extra goodies inside;

Absolutely clean on the inside;

The extra goodies inside. KFC towelettes, a working green pen, $2.80 along with a couple of foreign coins;

And a mysterious little white packet which I was a little hesitant to open at first, but I punched down my fear and just ripped it open;

Oh!  Three more foreign coins;

 Also, I was very excited to find this little blue packet because it indicated that I had an YSL bag!

But alas, I checked inside and found this and instantly knew it was much too good to be true;

 Still, I now have a nice pink bag.  :)

Looking and smelling good for free

How do you know when somebody has gone a little nuts?  They throw out their skin care, make up and perfume!

This was one of those jaw dropping incidences... I grabbed a bag full of 'stuff' somebody was tossing and when I had a look at the contents in the privacy of my own home - it simply amazed me.  Oh and when I say bag, I mean a not so bad looking hand bag.  It had a broken zip, but that was easily fixed.

Maybe this poor lady was having a bad boyfriend or husband day and tossed it out in a fit of rage, or she simply gave up looking good and smelling nice.  hehe.

The bag after washing.  Not a rip, nor a scratch on it;

The skin care, some still sealed, some opened;

Although it's a little powdery inside, this eyeshadow is unused - love the colours!

These are all sealed, and there is a Nutrimetics soap in there which I can't find the heart to open;

And the mini perfume.  I used White Linen in the 1980's, and it does bring back nostalgic memories for me.   I had forgotten how fresh, crisp and clean it smells.

Never in a hundred years did I think I'd find a an Avon product. (still with talc still inside!) This one's from the early 1980's;

Amongst all that, I found a couple of old shoes (YES I did throw them in the bin), an ink pad and a turtle rubber stamp, a metal butterfly ring and a couple of empty perfume bottles which I forgot to photograph.

Prada vs Prad

I found a bag.  It seems to be a fake Prada but who knows for sure.  But chances are that it is.  Who puts a real Prada bag on top of their junk pile if they know they can sell it for a pretty penny?  So it must be a fake unless the person was a total fool.  It's an ugly colour and it's larger than any bag I own.

Who knew an ugly coloured bag would become so useful and vital to me!
I can fit an enormous amount of stuff in there and it's oh so convenient.  Pity about the missing 'A' at the end though.  It doesn't stop me from being so very happy with my freebie, the 'PRAD' bag.
