E.T.A.
After some investigating, the writing at the bottom says 'Blue Onion', a 50's/60's pottery label.
Somebody was actually tossing this away!
How cute is it? I know it's old, but just how old? It has a little crazing and it's not terribly noticable. But not a chip, and not a crack. How kitsch!
So what's the mark at the bottom? Peace Onion? LOL!
From thimbles to egg cups, crystal to glass, yarn to fabric... and even freebies! I love collecting!

Found for free but not very usable to anybody in Australia. This 'vintage' vegetable cutter obviously came from another country (see last photo) at some stage, and I'm guessing long ago. I can't plug it into the wall socket, so what am I going to do with it?? Option 1. would be to advertise it in the local rag and Option 2. would be to take it to the second hand store. There could be somebody out there that can change the plug to suit the wall socket, who knows. My own clever hubby can easily do this, but I really don't want to bother him with something that I probably wouldn't use anyway!
This is what I'm talking about;

You know what? I'm so glad I found this lovely vintage J & G Meakin dinner set. From the research I've done, it's likely to be from the 1960's but I'll have to investigate further. It's in beautiful condition with no chips or cracks at all.
Quite amazing to find something old in this condition! It was priced at $30, but I got it down to $25. Better than no discount at all, I say. They don't make dinner sets like this anymore...
Consists of;

4 saucers

Monday
I used to get my meals served on a silver platter... but I now get served on a gold bowl
Then my sweet dessert will be respectfully served on a square glass plate
After dessert comes a lover-ly cup of tea from an English tea pot, no less.
Then the English tea pot is placed on a dainty crocheted white cotton doily

I love finding stuff that I wouldn't normally buy for myself, and here they are.
Probably some kind of Vegemite promo at some stage and surely once had vegemite in it;
Thinking of jazzing up my iphone;
Littlest Pet Shop care for me cat and it works just fine! Today I found one slightly different on ebay going for around $25AU including postage, and one similar at Amazon for $30.
Beer, anyone?

Free kitchen items found;
If one mug wasn't cracked/chipped, I would have had a nice little dinner set for two.
This poor little Phillips grinder has an interesting story.... the plug could only be used overseas, but dear hubby had his way of testing it. Unfortunately it started smoking when he did and cooked the poor thing. So into the trash it had to go.
Yes you are seeing clearly, the trays are still sealed in the pack.
One martini glass, but not just any old glass. I did find a second glass, but unfortunately it was not so elegantly smashed.
